1958

Beginning of a partnership with Isidore Elefant at General Woods in Montreal (Canada).

1960

Acquisition of forest concessions and a logging operation in Ivory Coast.

1962

Start of a new veneer plant for custom cutting in Winsen (Germany).

Foundation of the international wood trading company Interholco AG in Baar (Switzerland).

1964

Acquisition of the Miguet Group including Coplac in Aalst (Belgium), the largest veneer trading company at that time, and Fanérimporten in Sävsjö (Sweden), a trading company with a spliced face factory.

1965

Inauguration of a warehouse in Grödig near Salzburg (Austria).

1966

Start-up of a plant for peeled veneer in Vavoua (Ivory Coast). This plant is later expanded by a sliced veneer production and a sawmill.

1968

Acquisition of MASUL, a veneer factory in Sao Paulo (Brazil), the number one producer of Brazilian Rosewood (Jacaranda).

1969

Purchase of MABASA, veneer plant focused on the production of Brazilian Rosewood (Jacaranda) in Salvador in Brazil.
